Your time.
Your information.

TimeSats converts prices into working time using the income and work pattern you enter. The extension’s core features run on your device.

What the extension stores

We use Chrome’s local extension storage for your income amount, gross or take-home basis, currency, hours per week, hours per workday, days per week, setup status and display preferences. If you disable a website, its hostname is stored as a site exception. This is a preference, not a record of your visits.

What it reads

The extension reads eligible text and product metadata on HTTP and HTTPS pages to identify prices. It does not send page text, product names, prices, URLs, titles or income to TimeSats servers. Detected prices are not persisted. A selected price is used temporarily in the local conversion window.

Optional currency conversion

Currency conversion is off by default. When you enable it, Chrome requests access to api.frankfurter.dev. The extension downloads a fixed table of daily ECB reference rates and caches the rates and their date locally. The rate provider receives the network request, including the IP address needed to connect, but no salary, detected prices, product details or shopping URLs are sent. Rates are refreshed when the enabled extension is used, at most once per day after a successful refresh. Disable currency conversion to stop rate requests.

Optional Bitcoin prices

Choose satoshis or time plus satoshis in Settings to enable Bitcoin prices. Chrome asks for optional access to api.coinbase.com. TimeSats requests the BTC spot price in your income currency; no income amount, shopping price or shopping URL is sent. The provider receives the network request, including your IP address and the requested currency. Rates and their fetch time are stored locally. Rates can refresh when used, with a five-minute cache; estimates older than fifteen minutes are not shown. Returning to working-time-only mode stops Bitcoin rate requests. No wallet or Coinbase account is connected.

No account or bank connection

No bank credentials, transaction history, accounts, advertising SDKs, session replay, fingerprinting or analytics are included in this beta.

Permissions

Storage saves your settings. Content-script page access reads prices and appends time labels. The activeTab permission identifies the current site when you open the popup. Context menus enable “Show TimeSats” for selected text. There is no history, cookies, identity or network-interception permission.

The website demo

Demo inputs live only in the current page session and are not saved by the website. The hosting provider processes requests needed to serve the website and may retain operational logs. The public website is hosted by Cloudflare. That hosting behavior is separate from the local extension.

Your controls

Change settings at any time. Disable one site or switch TimeSats off globally. Chrome removes extension-owned local settings when you uninstall. The extension does not clear browser history because it never collects it.
